What is LookSee?

LookSee is a unique talent matching platform which links highly skilled professionals from around the world with outstanding job opportunities in New Zealand.

Our dedicated LookSee Talent Team work closely with New Zealand employers to understand their recruitment needs and help them find candidates with the skills and experience to match.

Who is LookSee for?

LookSee is for talented professionals around the world who are genuinely interested in relocating to New Zealand for job opportunities and have the skills and experience New Zealand employers need.

How do I get a job opportunity through LookSee?

There are two ways to land the perfect job via LookSee – by Recommendation from our Talent Team or by getting published to employers in LookSee Groups.


After completing your profile our dedicated LookSee Talent Team could recommend you to an employer. If your LookSee profile is identified as a possible match for a job opportunity, you will receive a Recommendation Request via email, with the job title and company name. From there, you’ll get the chance to either approve the request and share your profile with the employer, or you can decline the request and your profile will remain hidden.

If you approve the request, the employer will review your profile to see if you’re the right fit for the role. You’ll receive an update via email on the outcome, and if approved, the employer will be in touch regarding the next steps – you might be invited to have a Skype interview, telephone call or complete a skills test.

LookSee Groups:

Joining a LookSee Group gives you the best chance to find the job that’s right for you. A group may be industry specific, based on a select skill-set or an individual employer’s needs.

Once your profile is complete, express interest in any LookSee Groups that are relevant to you. Here you will move through a two-step review process, greatly increasing your chances of being matched to potential job opportunities.

Once reviewed, your profile will be published, making it visible to participating employers within the group.

From here, if our team or an employer think that you could be a good match for a role, you will receive an email to get the process started.

What information is required to complete a LookSee profile?

Once you’ve created your LookSee candidate account, you’ll need to complete your personal profile by providing all the required information. These include the following:

  • Personal information
  • Work history & education
  • Rank your skills
  • Upload CV/resume
  • Questionnaire

Your profile will only be activated and searchable by the LookSee Talent Team once all the required fields are complete. You may also be invited to submit a personal video introduction at a later stage.

How will I be contacted about job opportunities?

You will receive an email notification if your LookSee profile is identified as a possible match for job opportunities – either by our LookSee Talent Team, or by employers if you are published in a LookSee Group. Remember, the sooner you complete your details, the sooner your profile will be searchable.

How do I update my details?

Simply log in to your LookSee account using your email address and password, view your Profile and click the ‘Edit’ button. You can update your information from the profile editor page at any time.

How do I delete my LookSee account?

You can delete your LookSee account at any time from the Account Settings page. Please note that this is permanent and will remove all of your data from our servers.

How much does it cost to create a LookSee account?

Creating a LookSee account is free. However, you will need adequate funds ready for when you make the move.

Who will have access to my profile?

The LookSee Talent Team will have access to your LookSee account and profile data. LookSee profiles may also be shared with Immigration New Zealand for visa reasons.

When our Talent Team find potential job opportunities for you, you will be asked if you’re interested, and if you approve the recommendation request your LookSee profile information will be shared with potential employers in New Zealand.

In addition to this, if you choose to participate in a LookSee Group, your profile may be made visible to any employers with in that group.

What types of job opportunities are available?

LookSee is for skilled, mid to senior level professionals with several years’ experience. We currently work with employers in New Zealand looking for specialists in industries such as IT, construction and engineering.

Are there any job opportunities for graduates/interns or people with limited experience?

LookSee does not cater for non-skilled workers, students, graduates or those with limited or no work experience. Graduate and entry level roles or roles with limited or no work experience are recruited at domestic level and normally filled locally. LookSee caters for skilled, mid-senior level professionals with several years’ experience.

Is there an upper age limit?

LookSee does not specify an upper age limit. However, if you are offered a job in New Zealand, your age may determine whether you qualify for a work visa. To find out whether you qualify, you can check the work visa options on the Immigration New Zealand website.

Will I need to apply for a visa if I come to New Zealand for job interviews with employers?

Some countries have a visa waiver agreement in place with New Zealand, and others do not. If you qualify under the visa waiver agreement you will be issued a visa upon arrival. If you do not qualify under the visa waiver agreement you will need to apply.

Do I need to have strong English language skills?

Yes, most employers in New Zealand will require candidates to demonstrate strong English language competency.

Can I join LookSee if I am already in New Zealand?

Yes, of course! You can join LookSee from anywhere in the world, even if you’re already here.
